My name is Jessica, although I go by Jess, which is cleverly given away by my description above. I’m twenty years old, which seems to be worthy of senior citizen status on Tumblr. I’m a double Libra (sun sign/moon sign)…normally I don’t buy into such balderdash (read: religion), however; I find my horoscope to be unfailingly accurate. I currently live in Toronto (Canada), which is a charming city though I find myself constantly yearning to leave. Perhaps because it feels too much like home and I like adapting to different surroundings. I work as a Public Relations consultant for a bilingual fashion/beauty/lifestyle firm downtown. Through that, I write quite a bit and am bossed around by my clients lots and lots! The story behind my URL is quite simple…I’m a wee bit of a hermit and enjoy my alone time! It’s a vicious cycle…when I’m around people too often, I get frustrated and just want to hole up in my room for 72 hours to finish a book, but when I finally accomplish this, I feel incredibly lonely. I’ve been meaning to change my URL for a while now but I’m out of ideas. I’m a journalism student…which is a little ironic as I no longer have any desire to be a journalist (a combination of school making me hate the world and a miniscule job market/unacceptable salaries). I like baking, wandering around the city, learning new words/facts, reading the newspaper (the only journalistic trait that has seemed to stick around), collecting books/records/tea/coffee/birthday cards, making music, watching films, and building pillow forts. Preferably the last three bundled into one.
